TikTok integration

Destesi is a suite of AI-native tools for teams. Two of its products create content: Destesi Studiogenerates short-form video and images, andDestesi Connect holds the third-party accounts a workspace has authorized. Together they let you take a video from idea to a published TikTok post without leaving Destesi.

This page describes exactly what the TikTok integration does, which permissions it uses, and how to revoke it.

What the integration does

  1. You connect your TikTok account fromDestesi Connect → Connections. TikTok shows you its own consent screen listing the permissions being requested.
  2. Destesi stores the resulting access token, scoped to your workspace, and reads your display name and profile picture so the UI can show which account is connected.
  3. You create or approve a video in Destesi Studio.
  4. You choose to publish it. Destesi first asks TikTok which posting options your account allows, then sends the video to your connected account through the Content Posting API with the caption and privacy level you selected.

Publishing is always an explicit action you take. Destesi does not post on a schedule or on its own initiative through this integration.

Permissions we request, and why

The integration uses TikTok Login Kit and the Content Posting API. We request only the two permissions below.

Identify the connected account
After you authorize, we read the account id, display name and profile picture so the app can show you which TikTok account is connected and address publishing calls to the right account.

Publish a video you created in Destesi
Destesi Studio produces short-form video. This permission lets you publish an approved video directly to the connected account through the Content Posting API instead of exporting it and uploading by hand.

We do not request permissions we do not use. We do not read your followers, your direct messages, or the accounts you follow, and we do not request video.upload: Destesi publishes directly and never leaves drafts in your inbox.

Privacy level of what you publish

Before every post, Destesi asks TikTok which privacy levels your account currently allows and offers you only those. The video is published at the level you pick — Destesi never substitutes one. TikTok restricts an app that has not yet completed its audit to private posts, so during that period the only available option isOnly you.

What we store

Only what the two permissions above require: the OAuth access token with its expiry and granted scopes, and the account identity we display (open id, display name, avatar URL). We never receive or store your TikTok password.

How we use it

Solely to provide the functionality you requested. TikTok data is not sold, not used for advertising or profiling, not transferred to data brokers, and not used to train machine learning models. Full detail is in ourPrivacy Policy.

Disconnecting

Open Destesi Connect → Connectionsand choose Disconnect. We revoke the token with TikTok, delete our stored copy and the cached account profile, and stop making any further calls on your behalf. You can also remove Destesi from TikTok's own Settings → Security → Manage app permissions. Step-by-step instructions, including full account deletion, are on theData Deletion Instructionspage.
