Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: August 1, 2026

This page explains how to delete the data Destesi holds about you, including any data we accessed on your behalf through a connected third-party account such as Facebook, Instagram, or Threads. For the full picture of what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.

1. Delete a single connection

Disconnecting an account removes the credentials and the account profile data associated with it. This is the fastest option and takes effect immediately.

  1. Sign in to Destesi and open Destesi Connect.
  2. Go to Connections.
  3. Find the connection you want to remove (for example, Instagram).
  4. Choose Disconnect.

On disconnect we revoke and delete the stored access token and delete the cached account profile for that connection. We stop making any further API calls on your behalf for that account.

2. Revoke access from Meta

You can also remove Destesi's access from the Meta side at any time. Doing so immediately invalidates our access token for your account.

  • Facebook — Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → select Destesi → Remove.
  • Instagram — Settings → Website Permissions → Apps and Websites → select Destesi → Remove.
  • Threads — Settings → Account → Website Permissions → select Destesi → Remove.

Revoking from Meta stops all future access. To also erase what we already stored, use step 1 or step 3.

3. Delete your account and all associated data

To delete your Destesi account together with every connection, credential, and piece of content associated with it, email hello@destesi.io from the address registered on your account with the subject "Data deletion request".

We confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. We will tell you when it is done.

4. What gets deleted

For a Meta connection (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, or Meta Ads), the data we store and delete is:

  • Access credentials — the OAuth access token issued for your account, its expiry, and the list of scopes you granted.
  • Account identity — the account identifier, username or account name, account type, and profile picture URL we use to show you which account is connected.
  • Content you processed — any media or text you published or retrieved through Destesi and chose to store in your workspace.

We do not store your Meta password, and we do not copy your followers, contact lists, or message history outside of what a feature you explicitly used required.

5. Questions

Contact hello@destesi.io for anything related to a deletion request.
